Kenwood TS-2000X, Just received my kenwood ts-2000x bought from hamcity.com ..... I do not have a 1.2 Ghz Antenna yet..however I did a little spin on 80, 20, 2 and 70CM.. I liked this radio back in 1999 when it came out I decided to buy one now since Kenwood does not produce these anymore and they probably will not be on the market much longer..it's old technology but it's a nice complete rig. 73'

  • what kind of antenna are you using with this? and does it have a auto tuner?

  • @ricoco750 Hi, I am using a double bazooka. Yes the ts-2000 has a build in tuner. :)

  • What do you think about the Ham City? I am in negociation with them to buy some equipments, including TS 2000X. Do you recomend them?

    thanks for all information,

  • Hi gutowado, hamcity have been excellent for us here. A couple of my friends have also been ordering from these guys (hamcity) and they have the best prices and good service so far for the last couple of years.

  • What did you think of radio? Is the other kenwood will launch similar equipment? 73.

  • Hi Gutowado,

The radio is very good for 90's technology. I like better the ICOM radio I have. This radio is complete radio all band all ,satellite mode, antenna tuner 100Watts on VHF.. You pick this radio up and go to the country or expedition and you have a full package ;) ..Personally I bought it because maybe Kenwood will drop off hamradio and I wanted to own one of their last radios.. if they do produce a new HF I would be a buyer I always admired Kenwood Audio... 73 my friends

  • I'm planning to go back to radio after 20 years ...I think I'm gonna go for Kenwood TS 2000. I have nothing against Icom, I'm also a fan of their HF radios but its just too expensive for me. Cheers!

  • Another love story ! ;-)
