  • Save the shark, leave Paul Fong and the fins at sea !

On another word, you can save the whole shark for whatever you want, but you have to dump the fins, according to AB376 bill.

Again, poor Chinese are blamed for the disaster caused by capitalism.

  • It is a complete and utter myth that sharks don't get cancer. Please back what you say up with facts, not rumors.

  • @BugMagnet pretty much everything in the ocean is polluted now anyways to a greater or lesser extent, people stil eat sharks as well as eveything else, toxic or not

  • @zythepsarian even the spiny dogfish can get up to over 50 years old. So they accumulate this stuff a lot.

There were tests by british and several german universities all coming to the same conclusion: stuff made of sharks is toxic

  • @BugMagnet the smaller sharks like dogfish are edible but yes i know all about that methymercury

  • @zythepsarian You're wrong in one point. Sharks are also not to be caught and eaten for health reasons.

All slow growing predatory sea creatures (and sharks are the top model of that category) accumulate mercury over the years of their life. Some enzymes in their bodies convert this to methyl-mercury one of the strongest natural poisons. Consistend soncumption of shark meat can result in contunuous headaches that can only be helped with morphine, lost of motoric controll and Alzheimer.

  • @zythepsarian and another very interesting thing about sharks is, they dont get cancer, ever....scientists are still trying to understand that...theyre precious creatures, possibly more than anyone realizes

  • sharks are amazing creatures and worthy of peoples respect if only to fill an important niche in whats left of the oceans ecosystems...theyre virtually unchanged for 200 million years except for size, and sadly, the meat of sharks isnt too bad either though it all goes to waste...shame on humans and not only shame but destruction of what they depend on for food...despicable the waste that happens with many kinds of fishing, but these days with the caribbean and fuckyoushima, dont eat any of it
