Dan Miller plays "Garbagepicker"

At the 2006 Revenge of the Bookeaters in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Dan John Miller, of the music groups Blanche and Goober & the Peas. I've been a HUGE fan of Goober & the Peas since the early 1990's, and never got the chance to see them live. Dan was the frontman, "Goober". He is also the lead singer for Blanche.

After the show, I got backstage to met Dan and his beatiful wife, Tracee, both of whom are in Blanche. It was a moment 15 years in the making for me and a wonderful experience.

I snuck up into the balcony, which was closed, and filmed most of his performance using the video feature of my digital camera.

Notice the crowd's reaction to the O. Henry-esque twist at the end of the song.

The douchebag signing along and "woo"-ing off-camera is my buddy Saki who was all emotional and shit. Okay, he was a little drunk, too.

This was an awesome evening.
