1991-09-10. Muta grabs a table and rams Duk's head into it, and Duk is bleeding by now, Muta tags AKIRA in, and he works over Duk's cut with his fist.

  • muta the ineffable! was ringside in 1985 when he lost to such a loser as kendall windham. a fine upper body front and back, as cunning and agile as a cat into his 50s.

  • Kim Duk and Masanobu Kurisu were the veterans to put over The Great Muta and AKIRA in this match.

Kim Duk has been wrestling since 1968, while Kurisu has been wrestling since 1972.

  • lol! Muta looks drunk here

  • I have this on dvd if anyone wants it. just shoot me a message

  • Sorry about that, I got that backwards. Akira was on the card but he wrestled Liger. Muta wrestled Sting later in the night. Jushin Thunder Liger won his match and so did Muta.

    Still an amazing show though.

  • Akira and Muta had a great match the first WCW/Japan Supershow in '91. It's a good show, find a tape trader and get it.

  • Muta is god, as always here, but I don't really like his "manic" ways as seen in this match. He evolved to be so much more spectacular as the slower moving, mysterious, deranged Muta of the mid 90s.

  • Not really, I just like to research certain subjects, whether about wrestling, history, culture, religion...etc.

  • He was mostly a junior wrestler and won the IWGP Jr. Title once but he was still kinda over with the crowd. He left wrestling for a while to pursue a successful acting career, which I believe was used as a gimmick when he made a comeback. He currently wrestles in AJPW and recently made a NJPW comeback.
