Tal vez Claudio Abbado no le imprime tanto el carácter verdiano a esta pieza... me parece que suena muy vienés, tiene un ánimo muy clásico (del clasicismo)...
Le falta heroísmo, arrogancia, indiferencia y un poco de elegancia a esta interpretación, características intrínsecas del Duque de Mantúa...

In this particular version the voice lacks "mordente" and he has trouble with the high notes...

This is perfect mastered technique! Bravo Maestro. I think he's the best today in this particular type of voice, lyric tenor.
