I was in my teens in the 70s and got my tv from Cleveland. Man I can't believe how much I miss Supe! Bring him back!

I would like to chime in, and say thank you to the poster of these memories. It is kind of sad to remember how innocent Saturday television used to be, and how much we really enjoyed it. Thanks again.
PEACE

@kenpochrstn Can't agree more

I recall Marty Sullivan doing the news straight on WUAB43 - with a very low (his!) voice. What a trip!

My 48 year old brain cells had forgotten Supe until this. Childhood memories flooding back.

There's a great clip on youtube of Superhost being interviewed by Fred Griffith on the Morning Exchange TV show. The two of them were having the time of their life in that interview reminiscing about good times at TV studios.

Supe didn't get much of a going away present from 43. On his second-last show he mentioned that there would be a surprise next week. The next week he announced that it was his last show. You could almost hear the kids around Cleveland crying to a very abrupt end.

@vjmlhds It is now being sold on amazon in cartoon or live action collections. As a matter of fact, H R Pufnstuf entire seasno is being released.

Your Saturday afternoon lineup on WUAB TV 43 in Cleveland as of May 2010.
Infomercials from 5 am - 2:30 pm (with one kids show thrown in at 7 am to meet the E/I rule)
A marathon of "The Hills" from 2:30 pm - 5pm.
Supe, the 3 Stooges, and a monster movie---or---Spenser, Heidi, and the rest of the OC losers?
Where has Saturday afternoon gone to?
