Maiden flight of a 12' Telemaster RC plane. Lucerne Valley area dry lake bed, California. First day weather did not permit the flight to take place, but Success the second day. This video documents the trip I took to fly this monster of a plane. In spite of its size, this plane flies like a basic high wing trainer. The 12 foot wingspan is intimmidating, but once you get beyond its size it is as tame as a slow-stik!

  • so um... how do you keep track of it, besides its size? can you set up a live feed? If you could I would buy one of these...

  • @KiaX100000 There are some products on the market with virtual reality type glasses and real time wireless video transmissions that give you the ability to fly from a first persons perspective but from what ive been told, they do interfere with 2.4 ghz radios therefore you must use an older fm radio to fly the plane. thats only what ive heard things may have improved by now. The equipment required to do this retails for about 800 to 1000 dollars but well worth it according to the reviews.

  • I posted this in your section of DennisRC! Looking good!

  • i forgot to tell you where! go to the rangevideo. com web site look for 900mhz transmiters and receivers as for the 900 mhz vertical antenna, just google just that......900 MHz 6 dB Omnidirectional Antenna. the antenna is about 60 bucks as well.

  • you can get a 900 mhz video transmiter that will not interefere with your 2.4 mhz gear, will cost you $60 bucks or so, i do recomend a lagre external vertical antena for the 900 mhz band to go with it, i mount the antenna and video recivever to to a cheap camera tripod feed the video to your computer to remotely fly the plane as well as record it. my buddy actually has a 20" monitor in a small enclosure to remote fly with works out quite well.

  • Looks fun. What motor is that?

  • thanks for the info, I appreciate it!
