Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel CANSWERSTV; see websites BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) interviews Christian author & apologist James White of Alpha & Omega Ministries (see website AOMin.org) about a book that King James Onlyites such as Texe Marrs of Flashpoint newsletter & "Living Truth Ministry" hold very dear. "New Age Bible Versions" by Gail Riplinger is supposedly a "scholarly" work revealing that modern Bible translations such as the New American Standard and the New International Version are "New Age" in philosophy & are therefore Satanic. Riplinger also claims that the translators of these versions as well as those who would dare to defend these versions are not just non-Christians but anti-Christians who are opposed to the work of God in this world (G.A. Riplinger claims these people want everyone to worship Lucifer). Conspiracy? Hardly; sensationalistic bogus sales hype by a non-scholar named Gail is the real story in this bizarre tale of Bible Translations. Those wishing more information on this issue can reference our website BIBLEQUERY ORG & once on the homepage click the "Experience" box in the middle upper left side. Once on the "Experience" page just scroll down to the newsletter section & look for the newsletter entitled, "The Unlearned Men, The True Genealogy & Genesis of King-James-Version-Onlyism." This newsletter contains an excerpt from James White's excellent booklet, "New Age Bible Versions Refuted" along with a very revealing lead article on the origin & history of the "King James Only" movement by Doug Kutilek (MA, Baptist Bible College & PhD candidate at Hebrew Union College). Those wishing to see other videos by Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater can simply type LARRY WESSELS in the YOUTUBE, GOOGLE VIDEO, or VIMEO VIDEO search boxes.

  • KJV is a word for word translation. NIV is not. That is enough said. Don't go messing with God's Word, cutting out words, adding your own, and substituting what you think is proper interpretation into the text.

  • @pegcage Almost everyone involved in the King James Bible controversy knows or should know that there are archaic and obsolete words in KJV which either puzzle (at best) or mislead (at worst) the common Christian reader. "Prevent" in I Thessalonians 4:15 does not mean what we today always mean by that word, namely, "to stop, hinder." That word as used in 1611 meant "to precede" and the reader back then would not have stumbled over its meaning. The reader today, however, will stumble over it.

  • The kicker is mr. White....if she were to read a critical greek text....why would Gail support a critical greek text? I don't touch a perverted thing like the niv. You may put down Gail R, but you think that you can compete with Dr. Gipp sir? Peter Ruckman would put you in your rightful place sir!

  • @mrmark262 Peter Ruckman & Gipp are just two more King James Version idolators, give us a break! Their credibility is just as worthless as Riplinger's. These clowns rip gullible followers off for money just to hawk their worthless "scholarship" concerning their phoney KJV Only "scholarship." For much more on this go to two sources: Doug Kutilek's website - KJVONLY org & Bob Ross' website - PILGRIMPUBLICATIONS com. See our newsletter on KJV Only on our website - BIBLEQUERY org. Get a life!

  • @odlebrook Good point. As long as the Truth is proclaimed, it will set people free. When Dr. D. James Kennedy was asked which Bible is the best, he answered "The one that gets read."

  • @odlebrook I was a NIV person and I believe that the NIV can win souls to the Lord. But I have to side with the KJV crowd due to the omissions I've found in the NIV. (I have both versions). These are vital verses, (not "bread crusts" or outdated verses) that got moved into the margins (the fine print, and people don't read the "fine print" which is why so many people get into legal troubles. My feeling is simply that I PREFER the KJV over the NIV.

  • @HERETIChelper You're either ignorant, an intentional liar or both. Obviously it's a waste of time talking to you but to others reading this they are invited to go to our website BIBLEQUERY ORG & once on our homepage click on the "Experience" box & scroll down to our newsletter section & click on "Unlearned Men - KJV Only." There is an excerpt in that newsletter from James White's book "New Age Bible Versions Refuted." To get additional info on this go to James' website AOMIN ORG. Riplinger NOT!

  • @DoubleAAmazin2 Your response totally misses the point! You said James White was the devil! I declare that you're a liar. Not only that but you give us your unsubstantiated nonsense about the KJV & it's translators being "Israelites" as if that were true. See our 2 hour series, "BIBLE TRANSLATION ISSUE #1 & #2" with Bob Ross & Doug Kutilek (knowledgeable in Greek & Hebrew) where they deal with bogus arguments by people like you. See "The King James Only Resource Center" website: KJVONLY.ORG.

  • @CAnswersTV The KJV is by far the best Bible ever. The newer versions take the power out of the best verses, they simply dont sound as good.

The early Christians were Israelites, men of the Lord, just as were the translators of the KJV....I dunno if we can say that about new Bibles

However, no matter what translation you use, they all say Christ only came for Israel

Matthew 15:24 But he answered them and said I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel

  • @DoubleAAmazin2 I hope you're joking but if not you're an idiot (I won't go so far as to say you're the devil because only an idiot would say that). Do you happen to know anything about church history? We have an entire website on early christian church history (HISTORYCART COM). Can you tell me what version of the King James Bible Peter & Paul used? See our video, "EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH HISTORY #3: EARLY CHRISTIANS QUOTED SCRIPTURE WITHOUT A ROMANIST OR KJV BIBLE." See our newsletter on this.
