We have a Rush Tribute Band which will be playing only ONE gig before the band is scheduled to implode. Our singer/bassist/keyboardist is moving to the east coast and that will be the end of the band, but in the meantime, we have to practice for the gigs we do have and persevere in the face of technological glitches, computer problems, broken guitar strings and our drummer gone missing.

Take a peek inside our ONE AND ONLY rehearsal prior to our debut gig.

  • Well, there is a lot going on there....the bass player is making those wind swishing sound using a filter sweep on his keyboard, then the there is a Moog Taurus sample going on that he is triggering with his feet . I start by triggering my original Taurus Pedals and then he takes over with the sample so I can do the guitar volume swells on my rig. It's a bit involved, but it all adds up to make it sound pretty close to the original album I think...thanks for the kind comments!

  • an avid Alex Lifeson fan and attempt to understand and apply his technique in my playing. Basically, I had no great and primary musical inspiration until Rush, esepcially ESL. Thanks so much for putting soul into your Rush covers guys. Gorgeous guitar too. I'm still a college student so I play some heavily modified Epi Dots, a LP, and a G1275, but when I can afford a vintage Gibson I'll buy it for sure. YOU GUYS ROCK.

  • Thanks. We love this music and those songs kind of became the soundtrack to a certain part of our lives so the emotions we felt back then kind of come back out in the music now...or at least we'd like to think it does. It's great atmospheric music and can easily translate you from one place to another very quickly. That's what is so cool about Rush! Thanks for the comment on the guitar, it's an original 1982 ES-355 in Alpine White. Took years to find it but worth the wait!

  • fucking awesome

my only critisism is that the the drums sound really shitty....the drummer is really good, hes playing properly, but the cymbals and drums sound like crap

  • Point taken, Rago...but that was probably due to the fact that this was recorded on a $20 Sony point-and-shoot camera our singer bought a couple years ago...so I guess you gotta take it with a grain of salt...;-) Look at the other videos. I think the drum sounds are probably better than the rest of the instruments. Those were done on a $200 digital point-and-shoot (Canon G9) so they are marginally better. I think the drums on "The Camera Eye" sound pretty good, for sure. Thanks!

  • you guy's are really good!! guitar sounds awesome. you really nailed the opening of xanadu!! sound just like lifeson!!

  • Thanks! That's my mission...to sound as much like Lerxst as possible! I think it sounds a lot better in person....if I do say so myself. Too bad the band had to stop playing....we were just getting started. That's life I suppose!

  • people criticize...wtf....these guys are stellar.

  • You guys are unbelievable. The Exit... Stage Left album brings back amazing memories...I got it in Montreal a few years ago when I was 18 because I had an interest in their 76-78 work and noticed Bangkok, Xanadu, The Trees, La Villa Strangiato etc. I put it on in the clock/radio cd player in the hotel room and it blew me away. It was the first live renditions of those songs that I'd ever heard, and this video brings back the great feeling I had when I first listened to ESL. Since then I too am

  • From 1 Rush Trib band to another...GREAT JOB! Hope you guys continue....
