  • He wouldn't have to use this technique in a street fight, because he's not going to be fighting a technical BJJ fighter. When you fight against brawlers, all you need is the basics. This fancy stuff is for tournaments when your opponent is skilled, not for street fighting scrubs.

  • I've been meaning to get this set for a while. I have his first gi set and it improved my game so much it's ridiculous!

    BTW something that all those "Ulitimate Fighter" viewers might not understand is that gi training actually makes you a more complete MMA fighter. Beneficial for both no gi submission AND MMA.

    Saulo is the man!!

  • jiujitsu is cool the way u can take an old move, tweek it just a little and make up an entre new game- for ex:x- passes, leg drag and bull fight passes have been around for a while now- but now but rather than going to side control u can go to the "sao paulo" or "leg drag" position- which give u clear openings for armbars, back attacks and gi chokes (clock, bow and arrow, ezikiel) tht alot harder to defend than from side- see a WHOLE game (that WORKS 10/10 TIMES) off of a few old moves!!

  • i finally after trying this move a hundred times got it to work. it was perfect. but from their i got so excited and went to an armbar

  • what gi is he wearing

  • @dougdoug2006 BJJ is beuatiful, but dont bother using BJJ i a street fight. dont even fight. just walk away. avoid at all cost. Even though bjj s perhaps one of the MOST effective, what to you do when a guy kicks you in the nuts or starts smashing his fingers into your eyes ?people always say oh your not gonna submit someone in the streets. True. but u see the point system in BJJ. mount, sweep, back, side control. if you catch someone in the streets with these positions they are in big trouble.

  • If you think about it, this uses the same principles that the arm drag does.

    Just cross the momentum.

    MARCELO GARCIA!!

  • 1:56 here keep depression xD

  • like Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogeira, Demian Maia, and BJ Penn.They ALL train a ton in gi.

  • Yeah like elguapoalso said, training in the gi ( which is the Karate looking uniform for those that haven't even trained in the gi or just never heard of it) is actually more beneficial for MMA and no gi training because of friction that prevents using strength and athleticism to escape submissions and bad positions. If you train a ton in gi and then train a little to modify the grips for no gi you usually get the best results, just look at all the great submission Jiu Jitsu fighters who have;

  • @6XstringXsamurai ???

    "yeah! bjj is bulshit! that's why royce gracie fucked everyone up in the early ufc's."

    elaborate, not sure what you ment?

  • @Alos21i should be number 2
