The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) has launched a campaign in support of housing for all residents of the District of Columbia. The campaign for a Continuum of Housing is an effort to ensure that all of our neighbors have decent, quality housing at a price they can afford. Nearly 50,000 households in DC have a severe housing cost burden – meaning they must spend more than half their income for housing. Nearly 30,000 households are on DC Housing Authority’s waiting list for subsidized housing. Some have been waiting for more than ten years. BUT only $1.33 out of every $100 in the DC budget is devoted to affordable housing!
Join the campaign to ensure that all of our neighbors have decent, quality housing at a price they can afford.
