A patient is a person. Every doctor is, too. Those are the principles behind a unique buddy program at Northwestern Universitys Feinberg School of Medicine. It pairs medical students with Alzheimers patients and offers a chance to build friendships as buddies stepping outside of the clinical setting and into restaurants, museums and sporting events. The futre physicians learn first-hand about the challenges that face those living with the disease. The patients learn that doctors are peopl, too.
Being a doctor is the most helpful profession for a person.
