Slappers will usually come back around as long as you don't rip it away from them, as long as you don't get a hook in them to feel that is. Otherwise good tips, I agree about the hooks that have the steep inward bend, their also a real pain to remove.

i have the super spook. i have the Jr. version. its great for large bass or small muskellunge. never had any big bass, but decent ones. i also use 35lb stren sinking braid on a shakespeare sigma baitcaster. its a nice setup.
