Unusual Results With Crystal Focus

Something I knew for a long time, and experimented also with distorsion pedal on very cheap guitar amps when I was a teenager, you can sometimes receive AM radio on your own hardware, even if it hasn't design as a radio.
This time the weather and many factors in the lab contributed to a good reception, so I decided to film it :-)

one of the teenager experience I'm mentionning in the vid is that... I was alone in the attic, trying to learn how to play. And suddenly, when I put my crappy italian made volume / distorsion pedal in a certain position, I got the CB. And a hairy guy yelling out something like "you gotta get your ass out of your truck or I'll get ya". I was SCARED, that was coming from nowhere !

I was lucky to get a nice station lol... it could have been some boring news program. I got the BBC (original, direct from the UK) once. At my fingertips, litterally.
