KKE : Greek Regional Elections 2010

Autumn 2010. Greece is currently ruled by PASOK which means "Socialist Party of Greece. Yet "socialist" is more of an euphimism as this Party has betrayed every Socialist ideal. They are more of a centrist Party that practices a Liberal agenda.

They came to power by overthrowing the foremr ruling Liberal PArty which ruled the country by leadin the lower and middle class to extreme poverty. As an excuse for their measures they used the global financial crisis following the collapsse of Leeman brothers.

The Centrist Party managed to overthrow them by calling them liars. They claimed that there WAS money to provide for the people and that they would do so once in power. This brought the downfall and collapse of the Liberal Party which split into two smaller ones.

Yet the Centrist Party proved equal liars. The promises for a people's socialist agenda were all fake. This devastated the people's faith in the so called "socialist" Party but not in the socialist ideas. The people turned to the only party that had always proved to be loyal to the working class

But the Centrists were not willing to quit without a fight. And so they practiced an old yet ...failed technique. Just like Chamberlain sided with Hitler to create an anti-Soviet alliance in the 30's so did the Centrist and the Fascist PArty in Greece 80 years later. On many occaison other powers joined the alliance. Just like Leon Trotsky encouraged a Western invasion to the Soviet Union so many times the Radical Left Parties joined the Centrist Fascist Axis.

Yet just like the 40's this old and tested technique proved a failure. And the Anti-communist Axis faced a defeat of equal bitterness just like the Nazis in Stalingrad. KKE achieved a terrific victory and raised its support to 10,9%.

This event is of Great imnportance as it is the first time since the Soviet Era that KKE achieves a two digit number.
