@agentjr No it doesn't. It uses a grid to place the boxes similar to voxel rendering, but all of the boxes are made of polygons, not voxels.

@russianpeanut Wow, really? Ken Silverman is the a godfather when it comes to 3d engines. He's on par with John Carmack, and even outdid him when he made the Build Engine while he was still in high school. These days, he's torn away from the gaming industry to fight the way it has gone by making projects like this one to demonstrate that Voxels still have a place in gaming, if only they made 3d acceleraters for them.

You can stab away the level piece by piece, and if you look closely.. you can see tiny holes in your enemies, which you made with your knife. It's so cool.

I didn't know it had an official name, but I have fond memories from playing Doom with noclip on.
