The "B" side to Euclid Beach Band "There's No Surf In Cleveland", on Scene Records, called "Laugh In The Dark", which is of course in reference to the dark ride of the same name that was found at Euclid Beach Park. In the video "slide show", there is a graphic of "Laughing Sal", the "hag" that haunted visitors to the park.
I grew up in Cleveland, and I loved going to Euclid Beach Park every summer--always on "Nickel Day". No admission charge for parking or to get into the park. Tickets were five cents each, and most rides were one ticket. Laughing Sal, pictured in the video, stood outside of the Fun House, which cost four tickets (a sign outside reminded us that "This is not a ride". Walking through the Fun House could take a half-hour or more--so much to see. The Laugh In The Dark ride was also great fun.
