@eaglesfan226 It's actually all explained in an episode from when they got their own show. Brain and his hamster friend, Snowball, were cruelly experimented on until they ended up with extremely high intelligence. Snowball wants to dominate the world so he can have his revenge against mankind but Brain wants the opposite - he wants to use his intelligence to help the world. It's all spontaneous but that's what traumatic events do to people.
