On Friday, Sept. 2, the JHS Alumni Association hosted a rededication ceremony for our new football field entrance. The program began with the traditional bagpipe rendition of "Scotland the Brave" played by current music teacher, Tamara Stewart. Speakers Principal Marty Pollio, Alumni President Charlie Tritle, Myra Fugate, and Paul Gambert welcomed the audience and acknowledged all of those who have worked so hard to make our a project a reality, including: Buddie Jaha, Paul Gambert, Mike Mason, Steve Connors, Jason Malone, Steve Thompson, Alan Stogsdill, Regan Thomas, and so many others, including those of you who purchased a brick.
Bill Reynolds and Susan Reynolds Thurman spoke on behalf of Mr. Reynolds, and Beverly Zwicker shared memories of both Mr. Reynolds and Coach Hughes. The families unveiled the memorial plaques, and as the band played the school song, Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Hughes cut the ribbon, and led the audience onto the memorial walkway to view their bricks.
It is not too late to be included! Phase II is now open. You, too, can leave your name on the memorial walkway by purchasing a brick on our web site,http://www.jtownalumni.org/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=25
