Grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week

And the night fever continued well into the night with the spree till three (in the morning). Yes, after the Night Fever grand finale at Lakmé Fashion Week on Tuesday it was time to get into a fever-pitched frenzy.

It was a full house with the movers and shakers, the bold and the beautiful and the young and the restless partying as though there was no tomorrow. Sabina and Anil Chopras grand finale party is always a much-awaited event on the social calendar and, in fact, some people who had not even been for a single show at the five-day fashion week turned up at the party! One-time party perennial Kishin Mulchandani, a regular at fashion weeks in the past, made an appearance only for the grand finale show by Suneet Varma and then for the party. Also seen was Sameer Nerurkar of Samira Habitats, co-sponsor for LFW.

The fashion fraternity was in full force with a steady stream of designers (established, emerging, GenNext, accessory and even stall-only designers), assorted models who had a whole lot of legwork to do at the many shows, front-rowers and backbenchers, those making their very own style statement and those looking like they were dressed for a fancy dress ball. Well, a ball was had by all in the many zones at the party venue. There was an eat treat in store for you and the bars were buzzing with good cheer. Meanwhile, there was a flood on the dance floor with party people moving and grooving to the beat. And everyone wished that Lakmé Fashion Week came more than just two times a year!
