Well read, except one thing, bad breath does not come from the mouth or intestines, the primary source for bad breath is the oesophagus and stomach.
Food festering in the stomach releases gasses, the plant remedy will work.
As for the bad breath when you wake up is caused by mucus in the oespohagus moving up to the back of the throat, caused by REM paralysis of oesophageal peristalsis. Unless you eat a pro-biotic or a neutralizer like an alcohol before bed you will wake up with bad breath.
