@KodakTube Thank you for your reply. I shall resist the temptation for profanity.
Anyway I'm not convinced by your justification. If you were genuinely trying to keep customers costs' down you would avoid this predicament. But seen as the situation is significantly financially beneficial to Kodak, that makes it excuseable. Very sneaky.

Great commercial! Printerventions are much needed, go Kodak! It's time to end paying $100 every 3 months for a new set of inks!

Have you ever heard of a Bahamavention?
Nice work Kodak team.
Seems you are much better at copying than printing.

Explain for starters why you have to have an active colour cartridge to print a black and white document regardless of printer settings?
Looking forward to your reply but expect comment to be removed.

@gigwhipx10fast Hey there. We only remove comments if they contain profanity or are SPAM.
A lot of customers ask us why Kodak printers require a color cartridge to print B+W. As our printheads are built into the printer (and not into each ink cartridge) you need to have a little bit of ink to make sure your printhead's not damaged. This is also one of the reasons Kodak is able to charge so much less for ink.
thx much for the question.
