This is part 1of my RC8e doing a speed run, the goal is essentially 120 mph but for right now money is limiting me to around 75-80.As far as I know ,no one with an unmodified RC8e has went 75 actual mph with the stock gearing and only a 4S lipo ! I added the "world record" title to get more people looking at my video, it really isn't a world record. lol, ok back to my car;; My RC8 has a Novak H.V. ESC 4.5t 5000kv motor, 2 2S 5200mah 35C lipo's, Stock 15/46 gearing, and half wore down pro-line crime fighters which make for some really good traction ! please stay tuned for part 2 coming in April or May of 2010, and of course we will have the speed run verified by radar gun. In this video we forgot to bring it when we had the camera so it isnt verified on camera, but what your watching is a real 75 mph. we will also need a longer road(er runway lol) to test on next. Hope you enjoy the short video !!

  • Can anybody get novak to modified there ESC i have the hv pro 6.5 in my evader im trying to get it run like your RC8.

  • @nts213 what ESC do you have, an HV Pro ?

  • @chaddythepimp1973 sorry read it too fast ok here is what you do buy some capcitors from novak and solder them in parrallel 3 extra ones should be enough

and plus if you do it right you can run 5S lipo off of your HV pro with 2 batteries a 2s lipo and a 3S lipo, you hook the 2 series lipo to the connector that when the power switch is on, the esc comes on(that is the bec side) and you plug the 3S into the other connector, but be warned this is only for speed runs !!

  • that's allready fast for 4s. i would like to see the rc8e going 120mph!

  • @offroadrc Just think that was with offroad tires, the stock 15/46 gearing and no mods at all !!! As it stands now with my 2, 2S, 35C, 5200Mah lipo's 23/43 gearing and belted on-road tires I am getting it to 115mph(no vids yet unfortunately) I'm in the process of getting 1, 4S 50C lipo, and using sponge tires with 25/43 gearing and that should do the trick ! As soon as my camera man cvomes back from vacation and I get a better radar gun that reads over 120mph I will post the vid !! thanks !!!

  • plus Novak is working on my HV ESC to handle 1000 amps per phase(stock is 400amps) using some ultra performance mosfets and so on. I probably shouldnt of told you that, oh well I guess the cats outta the bag lol

  • @HPIxDrift actually the day before we made the video I had my friend who is a state trooper use his ladar(lazer radar) gun to see what see would do and most of the passes were around 74-75 mph but yeah I agree I def. need to get one !

  • @MarquitosWay got another RC8Be an unofficially got it upto 108mph!! using the castle mamba max pro with 50degree's of timing, 223/46 gearing, ofna foam wheels, a novak ballistic 4.5T motor and using 4S oir 14.8v venom 250 amp lipos! have a video of it shortly as soon as I can get another camcorder and someone to hold it, its too fast for my road and all you see is a blur........

  • @MarquitosWay So am I (still waiting to buy another RC8Be, had to sell everything for money lol! dont worry this year it will happend, maybe not on 4S tho but it will happen) I dont have the money for custom wound motors and so on so offf the shelf will have to do! thanks for your comment!!

  • I have the hv pro 6.5 factory solder system.

  • @TheNachomanlibre actually I need the traction that it creates !! without it I would be all over the place(tried that before) actuall I'm getting the pro-line 1/8th high downforce wing for more down force, all the weight in an RC8e is in the front and the more rear down force helps out alot, all I have to do is point the front end down a little bit and it evens itself out ;)

  • if you want it to go quicker take the spoiler off it creates drag and it wold be lighter as well
