-Episode 6-

"Its you,"I whispered in shock.

The guy i bumped into at the Hotdog stand was laying on top of me. He had crashed into me once again. The guy i thought i would never see again,the guy my sisters said i had a connection with,& possibly..the guy i was ment to be with.

The waves crashed onto our bodies,causing us to get soaked. We both started laughing.He smiled lightly as he helped me up,"I didn't think i would see you again,"He told me honestly,"But im glad i was wrong."I looked down and blushed.He laughed softly,"I'm E.J. I forgot to tell you my name the day we 1st bumped into each other."

I smiled,"What are you doing here?"I asked him curiously."I could ask you the same question."He smirked.I laughed a little,"It's kinda a long story,"I said.He smiled,"I've got time."

E.J. & I sat on the white,sandy beach talking and laughing,smiling and joking.We learned pretty much everythng about each other. His favorite color is blue,just like mine,he's 18 years old,only a year older than me. He likes to read,he's single.He's caring,charming,funny. And i had fallen for him.

"Wanna go for a swim?"He asked me while staring at the crystal clear ocean water.I smirked at him,"I'll race you!" I said as i ran towards the water.He laughed and chased after me. I dived under the water & EJ did too.He was swimming under me. We came up for air at the same time,laughing.

EJ stopped laughing slowly.I looked at him confused & saw that he was staring at something a little lower than my shoulder.I looked ddown & saw what he was looking at.

"What's this?"He whispered,tracing the 3.5 inch scar just above my chest with his fingers. His touch sent shivers down my spine & an electric shock through my whole body. I looked down sadly.He placed his fingers under my chin and lifted my face so i was looking directly at him."I-it's just a scar,"I replied.

"How did you get it?"He asked me concerned."You might wanna sit down for this story,"I said quietly.

We sat there in the water's edge.The waves splashing against our bare feet,the sun beaming down on us.We were thumb wrestling & i was losing,miserably."So whats the story?"he asked me while placing his thumb over mine & winning again. But i wouldve give up so we started all over.

"My mom... she was an alcholic. Every since my dad left me & my sister Trinity she would drink so she went to rehab.When she got out,she met a man.He had 2 daughters,Rene & Ariel.They got married & Rene & Ariel became Me & Trinty's stepsisters. But we were so close that we think of ourselves as blood sisters. But when her new husband died she started drinking again & it got so bad that she started beating us..My brother,Zane would try to stop her from hurting us but it never worked.One night it got really bad. She took her beer bottle and threw it at me but when she missed she grabbed a knife and tried throwing it again.... I got hit. Anywas,she's in rehab for good now & My brother Zane was taking care of us in New Yrk but-"I trailed off saddened by the memory of leaving Zane.

"But what?"He asked,not paying any more attention to playing thumb war.He was focused on me."Thats the reason im here in Los Angeles.Child Services said we should spend the summer with our parents.Trinity & I had to come here with our dad & Rene & Ariel had to go with their mom.Zane had to stay in New York,"I looked down sad.He lifted up my chin again,staring straight into my eyes,"Look on the bright side..if u never Came to Los Angeles,we wouldnt have seen each other again."I smiled lightly while he continued,"Everything happens for a reason Faine.Do you believe that?"He whispered.

"I do now,"I whispered back.
