As to your note on martyrs, the rebuttal here should be instantly obvious. Intense belief, however honest, is not evidence of truth.

Many Muslim people have obviously believed in their faith deep enough to die for it. It is notable that they die for it more often than Christians.

What does this mean?

Buddhist monk have been known to die horrible deaths in defense of their beliefs.

Does this suggest that Buddhism is true?

Guys like this shit me the most; so calm and reasonable - "oh he respects athiests and enjoys the 'debate'..." He must be a clever logical guy, right?

But he still totally avoids the points against him and his own are easily refuted (see below). How can anyone respect or agree with someone who "debates" in this manner?

Before I started using Youtube, I was definately agnostic, but after seeing this again and again, I can comfortably say I'm now 100% athiest.

cont:- i realize not that i was only lieing to myself to the point i believed it. Circular reasoning was also a tool they used on the side of scare tactics "dont be evil or youll burn for eternity" like an 8yo needs to be told that. If there is a god, i worshiping the one in the bible thats for sure. when you compare how destructive god was to the devil, the devil doesnt seem like such a bad guy. you should be more worried about God having a day than being tempted by the devil

lets just be real here. if there was a god, everyone would be worshiping the same thing. God is clearly more elusive than big foot and i really dont get why you have to defend someone supposedly omnipotent. All this stuff can be touched on by common sense. Its clear to me you have been indoctrinated into believing all this so ultimately it will have to be you to answer your own questions. I was religious at one point, but only because i was too scared to question myself

Religious people tend to have had their religion imposed on them by there parents. With the exception of those whos parents did not care, 100% of whom came to the only logical conclusion of atheism, you'll find that 99% of people share the same system of beliefs as their parrents.

@oakstave Exactly and I also am pretty confident that if this guy was born in Iran he would be preaching about Muhammed and how he would die for him because he was a real man and how allah is the true god. Only difference with us athiests is we were lucky enough to be born in a country with freedom of religion so once we got older we were intelligent enough to decide for ourselves that religion is stupid. Most kids believed in the easter bunny too when they were little...
