This is a trans Atlantic collaborative effort with talented composer Tom Kilworth ( http://youtube.com/tommyk77 ). Tom Composed this short piece named 'time-lapse' and sent it over to me. I interpreted it in my own 'milapse style'. The result is 'Nocturnin' a mini film that takes you on a journey though the night. Enjoy! - as always there are more timelapse technique tips and videos to come...

  • How do you get the exposer to stay consistent on every shot?

  • I generally shoot completely manual!

  • this may be the hottest thing I have ever seen. incredibly well done

  • Thanks I appreciate that! ;-)

  • this is fantastic !

by far the best time lapse video on here :P

btw wat camera do you use ?

and is it a still camera or a camcorder ??

  • Thank you. I use digital cameras exclusively... For this one mostly a D200 and D2H. You can see all the other cams I like in 'timelapse guide' videos in my collection!

  • @KingCarlofcarlWorld --- I think the music's Gino Soccio?

  • Great work. I've viewed all three of your Time lapse Guides, and would like your up-to-date opinion on a camera for exlcusively time lapse. It looks like the Ricoh GX100 and GX200s are not readily available anymore, even on Ebay. I recently purchased a new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ40, with plans to connect it to a PClix intervalometer, but just confirmed it's not compatible. So now I'm considering the PowerShot SD870 IS or the Kodak P880, which would you recommend for night time lapse shooting?

  • What the heck is up with the dark image that pops up at 1:06?

  • great visual effects and great music....3:10-3:32 is very other-worldly.

  • The start reminded me of the intro to Sightings.

  • This is very nice, I really like it. The music composition is really fantastic. Great editing, very well done.

  • So Beautiful...

But, what are those flashes at 3.27?

  • Great work!

  • it is breathtaking..very well done and bravo for your patience in taking the photos :D
