In this video, I present some reasons why debating creationists and debating a topic that involves the label "creationism vs. evolution" is one of the biggest and stressful mistakes for an intellectual person. This video is largely in part due to NephilimFree's latest tactics and the proposed concept that having a debate would make Nephy more knowledgeable on evolution and biology. Instead, it would probably cause him to shut his ears and not listen to logic and rational opposition to his dying position.

In many ways, I support what the League of Reason is doing with this radio/blog live show. The first session was a major success, given that a certain Christian youtuber who really needs to keep out of Youtube for a while and read a book has given us the best item to laugh at since the "crocoduck." Besides the obvious laughs, I believe that the users engaged in the show were able to dialogue quite well with other users. Hopefully, more and more people who have been shielded off from reality can learn facts about the diversity of life and other science topics during these live shows. I thank the users involved for the dialogue.

  • The fake creationist made my eyebrow rise.

Why do plants need bees and why do bees need plants?

What can have triggered an adoption that will lead to them die if the other half is removed?

    (please explain)

  • That guy with the beanie is gotta be a joke. I can't imagine anybody who's serious that speaks like that lol

  • the hate the religious people use or maybe should say the "God will send you to hell"unless you conform to our way.

  • until we can figure out how deal with religious threats,i mean they tell people God hates you if you do not believe then can get the general public to hate you if you do not believe then threaten you with hell,it is no different then Nazi propaganda you keep telling people every minute every day every month every year that they will go to hell God hates them people hate you because you do not believe, people that normally would use rationality will conform we need to find a way to battle

  • @rkyeun

But you're actually wrong. You *CAN* debate Creationists...you just have to do it on *their* level. You're absolutely correct when you point out that Creationists don't use reason, but that only means that you have to use ways other than reason to debate them. Not TOTALLY on their level, tho. We're not sinking to the level of emotional appeal, just...here: watch "Do's and Don't's of Debating Creationists" Parts 1 & 2 on the "NatCen4ScienceEducation" channel here on YouTube. It's a long

  • @rhyeun

Lol, you make life sound like it works in the original Game Boy Pokémon games. Like, you can't use "surf" on a tree. Lol.

I mean, I get what you're saying, and, btw, *epic* win, but still; it made me giggle imagining myself attempting to use the "debate" move on a "wild CREATIONIST" that "suddenly appeared!" lol

  • @rkyeun Wow. That was epic win.

  • I said it before, I'll say it again. Not all verbs are appropriate on all objects. You cannot cut water. You cannot sing a rock. You cannot play a star. You cannot debate a creationist. This is not a failure on your part. It's not that you're AFRAID to cut water. It's that because water is not a solid cut is not something that can be performed on it. Similarly because creationists are not rational, you cannot debate them. You can explain things while facing towards them, but that's not the same.

  • I want to see a video with Nephy on one side from one set of videos disagreeing with himself on the other side from another set of videos.

  • lol coctupus.
