Been there, kiddo. Coyote with a bow @ 25 yards. Killed it FAST with a 2213 arrow. But I was so excited, I had to sit in my stand and settle down for a few. Adrenaline is a trip!

tell ur son that u will miss more deer than u will hit. haha. i missed a few deer huntin cause of buck fever. i even get doe fever to. haha. but my pap always told me that the day u stop gettin excited is the day u will stop huntin. oh and listen to the song buck fever. it is a good song. i dont no if u like country musci or not but its about buck fever so i thought i would tell u.

Im still missing shots, i had a Trophy whitetail run at me up to 40yds on sunday he then saw me turned broadside and gae me a great opportunity then "BANG" the bullet hit the ground just behind him.
buck fever hits us all and when it does wow what a horrible feeling!
you will get your deer little man, just breathe and take your time, don't rush it, and above all else remain calm

As a matter of fact it is very challenging. I have hunted for 30 years and find it very challenging Mentally and psychically.

Na, I'm scared of ghost, and I hear they don't taste good. I have a family of 6 and the meat from three deer a year gives us enough meat for the rest of the year.
