A toy was taken from a new kitten and placed in the living room in an attempt to introduce Chilli to the new cat's scent. Witness the power of scent!

  • @kimmois1 That's all right. I spent the money on better things, like cat food.

  • @Oakleaf700 Oh you are so right. I have the same thing with Chilli. When she wants attention, she will walk into the hallway and keep yowling until she gets attention.

  • @Cyber000000 We had a Siamese when I was a kid-he was lovely, and very vocal-as are most Orientals-they definitely love to talk. sometimes people get annoyed at their constantly yowling ,chirruping cat and tell him/her to ''shoosh'' but telling a cat to shoosh is like telling the tide to stop coming in, -it won't work!

  • @Oakleaf700 Yes, the shine is called "glitter" and is unique to Bengal cats and some wild cat families, like the Asian Leopard Cat from which Bengals are bred. It's the same glitter that makes the nose shiny. It's very pretty. I've never met someone with a Burmese, but Siamese are quite canine as well.

  • @Cyber000000 I will have to look for the ''shiny nose'' next time I see Bailey-he shines all over in the sun-the fur is amazing-I thought my son's whippet dog was silky , but Bengals take ''silky'' to a new level. My family had a Burmese for years- another Canine cat!

  • @Oakleaf700 Well said. They are indeed very "canine". I tend to describe them this way as well. Chilli likes pawing puddles and running water, but won't normally walk into it. The silky fur sure is special, my favourite being the fur under their necks. Also the shiny noses are unmistakable.

  • My son's girlfriend's family have a Bengal-his fur is like silk-and he loves water-as in will play in puddles, and in the spray of a hose-these ''oriental''type cats are very ''canine'' cats, in the same way that whippets are rather ''feline'' dogs! a whippet will curl up like a cat, and be fastidious and clean, and a Bengal will be friendly and playful and companionable.Great cats, Bengals.

  • I hate your carpets. So cheap.
