ADOPT ME! Molly's First Ride! Adorable adoptable paint pony mare, Crosswinds Equine Rescue

Molly is a 4 year old paint/pony cross, 13.3 hh, and a fabulous character of a personality, easily the smartest horse we've ever handled.
We hope you enjoy this video -- this is the 2nd time Molly has ever had a rider seated in her saddle, and the first she has been ridden. This is our normal progression, although Molly went through steps in a single session that most horses take several times to complete -- walking off from the stairs at her rider's request; halting from the reins while still at the stairs; walking forward with a rider and her favorite handler by her head; halting at the rider's request; and, eventually, riding without her handler by her side.

Thanks, Winddy! Yes, we try to do all the right groundwork, so that MOST of our first rides go like this one. Of course, if the horse has some sort of negative riding experiences in his/her past, then we may have to approach steps differently.
