This was the Chilliwack that I knew many years ago...sadly, a lot of these buildings are now gone...the old A & W...parts of Chilliwack Junior High...it's not what it once was...

If you are seeking a cure to boredom, I would avoid videos of the Cottonwood Mall from twenty years back...all that place did was suck the life blood out of downtown when it opened....no character...no class...no fun.

Unfortunately, the copywrite to "Going Home" belongs to Anton Dvorak and Annie Haslam (the singer in the version I had)...so I was told to take it off and replace it with the music you now hear...not quite the same thing, is it?

Since I posted this, I have had so many great messages; both publicly and privately. The feelings that we all have for our hometowns (See Walking Distance on this site) are universal. That's why T.V. shows like "The Waltons" were so popular...nostaliga!

Born in 1990, seen chilliwack become a very boring city. so thats what it roughly looked like in 1988.

Chilliwack Senior looks the same except for the front entrance, to bad they are planning on tearing it down to build a bigger parking lot. :(

I have lived in Chilliwack, for approx 10 years now and knew Chilliwack quite well before that as I was in the Militia... Loved it then, but sadly not much anymore as although change in the most part is good, but what attracted me to Chillwack is disappearing fast (old character homes, historic Downtown and its farming roots) and it seems due to everyone just wanting to make fast money.
