  • How far did you manage to get your voice to go with only 5 watts? Most of the people that I hear on shortwave use about 30 watts for PSK31. It's great to have someone out there advancing the state of radio, especially if you're talking to someone not in the immediate neighborhood.

  • Hi. Thanks for the question. I do QRP not necessairly for how far I can make a contact, but just that I can make a contact with 5 watts. Some folks think that 5 watts on 80 using SSB isn't possible. It is. 73.

  • Well, you proved it. I probably have 6 watts of noise around here what with the Ethernet cables and cable modem.
