Being a brand new to gold prospecting, I knew I wanted to build a cheap, higher efficiency gold classifier than the traditional type that sit on top of a 5g bucket. I wanted one that would give me the ability to agitate as well as wet the material as need be, otherwise, to only have to shovel it directly onto the classifier and let gravity do it's thing to clear it off.
By preclassifying my material, I should have good success using my brand new AU Trap from Angus MacKirk for all the fine color we have here in Alberta.
I've never seen a gold classifier designed like I have built here, so I have no idea how well it will work. In theory it should work fine, but I will respond after this weekend's prospecting trip! :)

I like it, I have a DIY design for a 5 gal bucket classifier on my site. Check it out if you like... I love Angus Mackirk also!
