Remember that because of liberals, your wearing a collegiate cap and gown. Also, your free to voice your opinions, vote, and work for someone who doesn't claim you as property. @Protean213 Dick head Lincoln was a Republican, they were the ones to free all the remaining slaves in the Confederate states, that conflict was the Civil War, against the Democrats who wanted to KEEP slavery legal. Then there was Jim Crow, a DEMOCRAT, who imposed all those segregation laws after. The Conservatives freed the slaves, not the liberals.

Wrong., it was overwhelmingly people with conservative (and Christian) values that led the anti slavery movement. Also more republicans voted for the civil rights movement than Dems. MLK was a Republican, and Jim Crow a Democrat. The KK* was a strong arm of the Dem party, and Senator Byrd was not just a member but an organizer. The Republican party was started as an anti slavery party more than anything.

I used to be a fan of Thomas Sowell. Recently I have found him to be more of a polemicist than an objective writer. I prefer Walter Williams to Sowell, although I am not exceptionally found of him, either. Shelby Steel is another black conservative I am not really wild about (he makes America before the 60s seem like hell on earth). John Mcwhorter ain't that great either.

I have read his book, Black Rednecks and White Liberals, therefor it is the only one I can honestly recommend. It was well resourced, articulate, and clearly points out the reasons for the prevalence of "ghetto culture". I have purchased copies for several of my friends and family members. Take care.
