Since I use Windows XP moviemaker 2 to edit and save before uploading to the tube, I experimented using an add on in the XP WMProEdit prog that is available on the MS website. With this you can change various video & audio settings for example bit rate, square and non-square pixels, quality etc. I found a 720 hi def setting and wanted to see the effect it would have on my standard definition footage recorded on my Sony DCR TRV240 E used in widescreen mode. I've not added titles, credits etc, I just wanted to check to see what you tube does to the file once processed. Feel free to rate, comment etc.

  • what an amazing place I would love to go there!

  • @YOZcreative

Love this part of the UK. Weather can be a bit unpredictable due to Atlantic storms and convergance of rough weather off the English Channel. My other video showing bad weather in Mullion was filmed in July which is supposed to be warm. (North Cornwall Coast is also stunning)

  • Ahh a coast, love it! So its an upscale. Not bad, I've tried that with both of my editors, a True HD cam capture is till much better of course.

  • @landtoseasandiego

I've been thinking of changing to HD but at the moment I'm limited by computer processing speed and broadband issues.

What camera and editors do you use?

  • Beautiful! Thank you!

  • @TK42138 Indeed! The closest I have been to that area is the Isle of Wight. That was a wild windy powerful experience. Thanks for sharing :-)
