I so agree....TO DEDICATE OR SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES, FOR THIS COUNTRY, is remarkable. And for these guys, who went thru hell , still stuck together. THIS GOES FOR OUR TROOPS NOW, GOD BLESS THEM, WE MISS YOU, LOVE YOU, AND WE THANK YOU ALL, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE.
RIP ALL MEN OF EASY COMPANY, 101ST AIRBORNE, WWII VETERANS, AND ALL WHO SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR THIS COUNTRY. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

LEGENDAA......

Glorify the war? There is no glorification in war. You watch the Bastogne segment of the Band of Brothers...that was only the tip of the iceberg of what our troops endured. That battle happens to be the bloodiest battle of the war. The miniseries only tries to share with the world the sacrifices that were made for freedom. Go visit Normandy or the cemetery at Luxembourg.

@ljtdds i didnt say these guys or any vet glorifyed war....these are the guys that know war is pure hell.
i said the tv show glorifyed it.
im sure these guys even agree band of brothers made war look better than what it was.
why are you trying to put words in my mouth.
-
They did not glorify war at all. What they did was share the sacrifices that many young Americans and Allied forces gave for the freedom from a continent living in tyranny of the Germans. If you think giving your life as many did is glorification then you need to read the history of WW II.

Buck Compton and the Easy Company did far more than he gives them credit for.
They were all heroes. He downplays their importance and accomplishments. True to nature of those soldiers from Easy. Currahee!

These guys were amazing but shows like band of brothers glorify war and make it look like america won the whole thing.
@fucookie So your saying that the ones who did make it through arent heroes? I think that every person that jumped out of a plane, ran across a beach, sat in a tank, drove a supply truck, used their medical knowledge to save or ease the suffering of the wounded, basically anyone who had anything to do with the war effort are heroes. Some were greater heroes than others. To be able to continue to engage the enemy without knowing whether you will live takes incredible courage and strength.
