The Wisdom of Sensei

These are some of my crazy new friends and coworkers in Tokyo.
As you can see its a hectic day at the school, and afterwards us girls decide to have some dinner at a Japanese izakaya pub.
This is a typical day in my life, full of stupidity and giggles. It takes a lot of intelligence to be a teacher in Tokyo :P

Odd question.... How hard would you figure it is to eat vegetarian in most restaurants there?

You shouldnt have any trouble ordering vegertarian from a menu. There is a good selection, especially tofu and vegetables, miso soup. Just be careful because sometimes they cook in oyster sauce and fish products seem to crop up in lots of "vegetarian" dishes.

Thanks! I know when I go to most local asian restaurants around here I automatically ask that they not use fish or oyster sauce. Japan is somewhere I've always wanted to visit. I'm all envious in that nice healthy way ;)
