What are you talking about? Michelle graduated from Whitney Young High School as salutatorian, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was treasurer for the student council. She also graduated from Princeton cum laude. All this growing up from the poorer parts of Chicago. She obviously deserved everything she has received.

Michelle Obama had a GPA between 2.2-3.2 in high school. Wouldn't have gone to Princeton if she was white

Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard and was president of Harvard Law Review. He also became a very effective community organizer. Work experience helps on applications as well. So he obviously did have a stellar record.

Affirmative Action is Racism.
Showing favoritism to any individual simple because of race is not only incongruous, but harmful... true equality may only be achieved by merit, and intellectual capacity.

For all you idiots who think that Obama has gotten where he is on affirmative action, did you know when he applied to Harvard Law School he did not mention his race? How many of you can even get into Harvard? I do agree that the problem is not necessarily race but instead should focus on socio-economic factors.

It was to my understanding that his school records were never released. There were many people who wanted them to see whether he registered as a citizen or not. But, they were sealed from the public. Anyway, I completely agree with your last sentence, though.

the beneficiaries of race and gender conscious affirmative action programs encompass a wide range of communities. Many groups, INCLUDING WHITE WOMEN, Arab Americans, Asian Americans, Latino Americans and Native Americans heavily rely on affirmative action programs in the areas of K-12 education, college and university admissions and financial aid, employment and contracting. With the passage of Proposal 2, all these groups stand to be hurt.
