it's important and comforting that we have articulate and legal competent people like eben fighting against microsoft when they try to throw their fat white-collar corporate criminal asses around and ruining the competition.
I only wish the guy would get some primetime air time debating these very important matters on mainstream television. Guess the story's not going to break on MSNBC tho...

Open community needs to be protected by governments as well. It is hard to fight companies with well paid lawyers.

This is one of the guys that's protecting the internet and computing in general from being completely taken over by corporations like Microsoft and Apple who'd like nothing more than complete control over everything you do with your computer.

I want to write great free software apps someday, without worrying about stepping into a deadly software patent! Software patents are a big threat to free software licenses, and the rest of the free software community! This is scary, and Microsoft should deserve some serious beating from the government!
