Artist Notes: The Alchemist, by Epiphany Castro was such a perfect fit, it was fate / meant to be that I used her spoken word from her new album for this painting production. Many people sent me their music desiring it to be used in one of my time lapse painting videos, but I selected Epiphany's poetry during my editing process, because they suited my vision, and when combined with my footage simply felt magical.

  • Looove it! It's hard to find good artist with a message and I loved the spokenword as well. "we would rather live demons then die angels"..gorgeous.

  • @EyeSeeArt fantastic. Thank you! Yes, it is really hard to find, but I know no other way. I couldn't imagine having the desire to create art without meaning or purpose. Much can also be said for my process. I don't pre-sketch ideas onto the canvas or anywhere. I simply sit down, go into a trance-like state, follow my spirit, and paint whatever comes forth (as seen in my videos).

  • Genius at work!!!!

  • @yemanis415 *smiles*

  • A soulful collaboration. Beauteously created, wonderfully divine!

  • @rahkytopia Thank you so much my friend! Blessings!

  • That was SO INTENSE! OMG! Love this so much! The editing of the painting brought so much intensity! Epiphany's lyrics brought more intensity! And the painting itself was INTENSE! The lock of them, the time cradled by her, the way you were moving, the black and white patterns, the share of eyes in the third position...I mean! You were telling my story! THIS WAS BRILLIANT! EVERYONE MUST SEE THIS! Amazing sister! amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My goodness I don't know what to say! lol

  • The art piece...AMAZING...I love it and Epiphany's spokenword at a FANTASTIC touch to everything. WELL DONE!!! Both visual and performed arts are good.

  • I wish I could do things that fast with everything without the time lapse.

  • @PoppiesBluff Thank you! Those were smaller paintings so it was easier to film every stroke. I will try to release more video's like those some time in the future. The larger paintings have so much footage because they take longer to paint, that it must be condensed in such a way that each stroke isn't emphasized, but you can follow what was painted first and last etc. So when the paintings are larger I focus more on the entire production and bringing people into the emotion of the piece. :-)

  • Very very cool as always... Another loved piece of work, both the poems & the artwork! You're the bomb! Can't wait to see & hear the next creations.

Oh one thing thow, I liked how we got to see you paint some of your other paintings; that helps new painters like me to learn technecis (I know I can't spell) but hope you understood me. Look'in 4ward to see'in more of your artwork
