Music Choice 05: Sonic Unleashed - Spagonia Day

Sonic hasn't exactly been treated as well as he should be in recent years. Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog were both rather 'meh' and Sonic 06 was absolutely terrible. However, Sonic Unleashed was a good step in the right direction for him. Even with the (actually not all that bad) Werehog stages, the game shone through with its proper, day-time, speed stages. It brought Sonic back to what he should be doing, running really fast. Hopefully Sonic Team keeps note of this and doesn't go back down the slide with the Sonic franchise.

The track here is one of my favourite songs - and stages - from both the Wii/PS2 version and the 360/PS3 version of the game. It's upbeat feel helps to motivate how fun the level is.
