I've trained with French mountain infantry and had the chance to use the FAMAS, I prefered it to the M4 in all honesty. It's a rifle designed to be used by well trained infantry, high rate of fire, goo accuracy and fantastic in close quarters thanks to its bull-pup config and to think this was developed in the late 1960's... Beats the shit out of our AR-15 platform!

It looks like a bugle. Carries like a picnic basket. Feels like a rubber rose. The trigger is atrocious. And compact like a midget sleeping in a rug in a fetal position. Why can't the French stick to cooking and hire a German to build their weapons ? Oh yeah, they kicked their asses in both world wars ! Come on French build a real rifle, not a Marcel Duchamp.
