"Prayer, the path to God's will." Or, the Ouija Board also works swell if you're Bill Wilson, the co-founder of AA. According to Nell Wing's memoirs, Wilson and his wife Lois had friends over to Stepping Stones for seances, and Wilson was into "automatic writing," and if I remember correctly told friends that he channeled a spirit guide whom he claimed was "St. Boniface." This is why devout Christian evangelicals like John Lanagan are highly critical of AA. Google "My Word Like Fire".
