The new album kicks fucking teeth! And yes, Gene Hoglan does use triggers, yet I still prefer him to Raymond Herrera. They're both fucking awesome, but there's a very good reason Gene's nickname is "The Atomic Clock", and it has nothing to do with using triggers. Triggers are mostly used to even the sound differences between strokes (I.E. left foot sounds slightly different from the right). Either way, he's Motherfuckin' Gene Hoglan as we call him around here, and he is the man.

GENE HOGLAN is the FUCKING MAN i am , no fucking triggers ,, i saw them live plenty in past , raymond is wicked , but he rely to much on triggers, gene is fucking brutal , natural , beast .

well, I would think so, TBH, i don't think herrera had much feel at all, they are kind of similar.
Don't get me wrong, love them both, but Herrera is verging on mechanical.

I like the more "speedy" sound. And I really don´t agree with connection "herrera" and "feel" :-) from what I´ve heard, Gene plays the old songs very, very well - I bet if I told you that´s Herrera, you clearly wouldn´t recognize. The new album is great, though. Sounds like the old good demanufacture with more speed. :-)
