Carrollton Bypass

Driving on the Carrollton Bypass, located south of Downtown Carrollton. This bypass carries US 27 Alt., S.R. 16 and S.R. 166. This bypass is about seven (7) miles long. Use the Carrollton Bypass to access the University of West Georgia, as well as Newnan and LaGrange.

Yeah, 166 comes in from the north-northeast, then forms a south-southwest loop south of Carrollton.

I've heard about that bypass. Just didn't know what stage it was in.

The GDOT decided to widen all of US 27 in GA 10 years ago. It's good for traffic, but bad for local economies because they're bypassing most towns with new construction. My hometown that's on US 27, LaGrange,GA, is the next town they're going to bypass. It still goes straight through town for now.
