A descent through the hellish atmosphere of Venus to explore its broiling surface serves as a warning to our world about the possible consequences of the increasing greenhouse effect.
Then Dr. Sagan leads us on a tour of our solar system to see how other heavenly bodies have suffered from various cosmic catastrophes.

What is the chant-like song heard during this (and a few others throughout the series) segment? I have almost the entire Cosmos musical score/soundtrack, but I cannot, for the life of me, find that epic (and enjoyably austere) piece....
Any assistance would be appreciated.
At any rate, Sagan was -- and his work still is -- a treasure to be cherished, and a testament to what our species is capable of.
