Yes that's true, second helpings are never as good as the first, plus you feel like a pig.
Also the food in fine dining tends to be very rich with cream and butter, and so you could only eat so much before you feel bloated. Hence the small portions.

Funny how a culinary prodigy (Thomas Keller) is no where to be found on the competition network, I mean the Food Network. Sorry Food Network fans, but those critics and all the hyper drama gets to me. Bourdain should have his own show on H.B.O. Now That would be entertaining/ hilarious.
