They neglected safety precautions. All for Soviet Russia. It fell soon after. Kind of a waste.
The liquidators are truely heros however because its possible that they saved millions of lives.

man, these soldiers had balls.

@Habasch78 Those are the ones that didn't get saved - there would have been more already-living people dead and less unborn people born (or more born with issues).
-
Oh yes, they saved millions of lives???
And what is about those unborn retarded exraordinary fetuses?

You're an idiot if you thought I was being serious.

How sad for you. Maybe your family will pray for you. You are delusional. Jews? Seriously? Wow. I feel sorry for you but not as sorry as those innocent people that are still suffering. This disaster effects all of humanity, not to mention the wildlife. Radiation is not a lie...whip out a few bucks and take a course in basic chemistry at your local community college. Oh and don't forget to take your meds tomorrow, you need them.

For comparison, in Fukushima between the first and second blocks 10 Sv = 1000 Roentgen
And they will build the sarcophagus? How?
-
@joker0187 Not after they worked there for a while ...

What catches me the most is that at one point in the builiding the radation is 1 to 5 roentgen, and around the corner it is 500 roentgen. How can that stay so local? Can anyone explain that?

I can't believe they weren't wearing better protective suits
pfft i think there's something fishy about that, "the soldiers were the wreckless ones" i bet those bastards MADE them stay out there

Not really. You must remember that most of outside workers brought in to help clean up the disaster were very ignorant of just how bad exposure to radiation actually is. Thus, they more or less went in and did their job without a whole lot of concern for their personal well being. Even a large number of the army's Officers were quite ignorant about the severity of the danger.
