in america, being a muslim automatically means being a terrorist. ofcourse reasonable thinkers know that's BS, but the bigger public's opinion cannot be denied.

Why does it matter that he is or is not a Muslim? Does a person being a Muslim make them an inferior leader (or person)?
It is so unbelievably offensive. I have muslim friends, it just angers me to hear that.

MrsTruthO8, I agree with you about the blatant prejudice against Muslims. I understand that Barack is a devout Christian because I made the time to research both candidates. What I don't understand is why some people believe that if Barack were a Muslim that would mean that he couldn't be our president. Barack will be a great president for all of us - black, white, brown, men, women, children, rich, middle-class, poor, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, or other. Let's unite for change!

Obama is not a Muslim but so what, even if he was a Muslim I would vote for the O man, being Muslim doesn't mean he'll be evil, unless you are ignorant and closed-minded.

I can't wait for the day when it doesn't matter what religion our leaders are: christian, muslim, jewish, or even pagan. And instead what matters is the integrity of the person and that they strive for peace and understanding.
