  • This also confused me, Same question as the guy below me, How come the first network does not start with 0? like 192.168.1.0/25 , should the first network be 192,168,1,0 ? then the 2nd 192,168,1,128

  • So if i imagine the interfaces are just like networks that require hosts i should be sweet?

  • I'm studying for my CCNA. This is good material, it was a nice review. The only question I have, is why don't you ever start a subnet at 0? Meaning, take 192.168.1.0 /25. That's a 255.255.255.128 mask correct? Does the first network have to be 192.168.1.128, or can you utilize 192.168.1.0 - 127? If I remember correctly, newer routers have the IP Subnet Zero command which enable you to use that first subnet right?
